at the mo i'm with aol dial up and they have offered 2 upgrad us to bb for the same price for the next yr but said cos we have a NTL phone line they cant upgrade the BB speed so will have to be just standard BB

so i was lookin at NTL BB and they do a 300kbs for about the same price as wat we're payin for aol dial up. so was wondering if NTL's any good??? or should i stay with aol.

 

I have been on NTL for 3 years now and it has been faultless

 

NTL's customer service ain't great (30 minutes to answer, guaranteed!), but then I can't say I've had too many issues with my broadband (600K), been on it for 3+years...maybe I'm in the lucky minority, lol

Ive sadly got NTL 150kbps, can't fault NTL's service at all, and reciently my download speeds have rocketed! Usually they're about 15kbps now nearling 35kbps!

i think its 14.99 a month but don't be encouraged by the 35kbps i just quoted, for the first time in 3 years its started to do this, howver if it keeps on like this i'd go for it

 

you need digital cable television

also agar... if you use an older padce set top box then your 128k connection will actually give you 256k

 

Im not using the Pace box, im using a seperate line connected into the NTL wire before it reaches my set top box. Any idea why my speed has increased dramatically?

And i haven't just upgraded

 

nah they do a adsl vesion aswell. but we have analog cable aswell so can alway upgrade

 

i was talking to an NTL salesman the other day and he me told in september all BB services are gonna be upgraded free of charge so my 600k is gonna go up 750k and if your on 128k thats going up to 300k and im pretty sure he said the 1mb is going up to 1.5mb
