where to get a floor pan for a saph cossie?

my mate has bought a saph cheap but has a hole in the floor pan where it has been jacked up in the wrong place the local ford dealer reckons you can't get them anymore is this right?

why not cut it out and fit a perfect plate in its place grind it all down so its flus and then make it look nice no need for a new floor pan realy
