Default Gumball? What about the Ultimate Rally?

I see Kimble and a few others are planning something a bit more mad than the Gumball then?

Together with my business partners, I am launching a new street rally format called "Ultimate Rally" in 2006.

Seven days, 5000 kilometers, and $2 mio prize money. 4 checkpoints, 1 finishline.

The first 3 cars share $150.000 CASH at every checkpoint (100K, 30K, 20K) and $1.4 mio at the finish line ($1 mio, 250K, 150K).

Advanced GPS & UMTS handhelds will be used to track all cars in realtime (speed & routing statistics). This will prevent cheating and all drivers receive the routes at the same time. We are implementing a realtime betting system (like befair.com) for this event.

We are now working on different legal issues, the routing, partnerships, sponsorships, media, web site, etc. We will do a professional job with a high level of excellence and perfectionism. Thats why this event wont start before 2006. We take this venture very serious.

The Ultimate Rally is aimed to be the most challenging driving event ever.

The drivers will have to combine driving skills with realtime strategic planing & thinking. The qualifications you need to participate is a super or special car, extreme driving experience and the luck to be among the 100 chosen cars.

We wont bore the drivers with lame parties. We will make sure you get enough sleep in exclusive setups. At the end of the event the participants will spend 2 luxurious days together, the best photos and films will be shown, live video conferencing with participants in hospitals, and the most amazing celebrations for the winners. We will give those who survived this extreme adrenaline rush enough time to share their experiences and stories with the other participants and make new friends and brothers.

There will be a starting fee. We have not yet decided how much. More then 10K.

As of now the rules are:
1. The Ultimate Rally is limited to 100 super & special cars.
2. Your car will be fixed with inside & outside cameras. (Provided & installed by UR one day before the start)
3. You have to capture your entire run on film.
4. You have to hand your film material at each checkpoint to the organizers.
5. You have to participate with our GPS / UMTS handheld tracking device.
6. You have to finish in the same car you started with (Repairs are permitted).

We focus on driving in poor and/or developing countries, with a mix of cool new roads and challenging road conditions, slow police cars, very low police salaries (you know why). We are negotiating with government officials in several countries to have roads and highways blocked exclusively for us. Anyway, most of the rally will take place under real-world conditions (traffic).

This rally is being developed for a rare breed of special people. The modern knights of the highway. We are free, skilled and our lifes are happening on the fast lane. Welcome to the ultimate experience, The Ultimate Rally.

We are aiming to produce the best street racing movies in history and our participants will be the stars. Lets create a new highspeed-culture.

Everyone who is interested in participating as a driver, sponsor, partner, journalist, or in joining our Ultimate Rally Team as a route scout, media editor, web designer or event manager, send your email directly to me: kim@kill.net
