Default Been messed about on eBay - what would you do?

I won an item on eBay, a series 1 roll bar to be exact, i was getting harassed by the seller to go and pick it up. I finally went last night. It was agreed the roll bar would be split down, and also a part that he had removed would be there with it to collect.

It was being sold on the girlfriends account by the boyfriend. I left at 8.30 for a 95 mile 2+ hour drive, the usual happened got a bit lost etc, arrived at 11.30, rang the kiddy, he said im not there blah blah blah my brother is he will take the money.

Pulled up outside the house, roll bar is thrown on the floor in one piece, knock on the door the brother comes out, stinking of alcohol and a BIG lad, roll bar has a bracket broken, ISN'T broken down, so i wouldnt of been able to fit it in the car because it had a shock still attached aswell, and i didnt take tools as he said it would be split down.

His brother then says "he said he will post the missing hub to you", YEAH RIGHT, i went off to ring the kiddy selling, he didnt pick up (surprisingly), many attempts to call, no answer, rang his girlfriend (the account owner) she answers and had obviously spoken to him as she was saying he never agreed to break it down etc, and she agreed to contact him and get back to me, this is about 12.30am and i have a 2 hour drive ahead of me.

Waited, waited, waited, nothing back, so i left and went home without. I'm £25 out of pocket. It was annoying enough there was things broken that weren't listed, but i could of paid a little less, the thing im pissed off about is i couldnt physically of got the thing back home.

Part of me wanted to pick the thing up and put it through the window of the house, and the other half of me just wanted to pick it up from outside the house and run off with it. Needless to say i left empty handed. He came across as being a total time waster from day one. What would you lot do?

We all know what ebays dispute system is like, crap.

AND i still haven't had a call back.

I haven't paid........i think that was the whole point in him being out and getting his brother to take the money because he had blatantly lied about everything. I would of quite happily taken it away for less money if it would of fitted in the bastard car

I can't see eBay doing much about it.

I think im definately going to put a listing up on eBay when he re-lists with the same item description and will tell the tale including all their phone numbers and full address though
