The one on the left is the filter that was on it, And the filter on the right is the one my ford dealer gave me for it. Just wondering is the one fitted an after market filter ?

 

The big one is correct.

God knows what that small one if for. Good old Ford dealers.

Part no. is 6688744 and is about Ł20.
Get new washers aswell.

No problem.

Most in my local dealer are ok and very helpful.

But sometimes get asked same "is it 3 or 5 door" or "is that a 1.6 or 2.0" or "is it a turbo"

Just get them to type in my reg now much easier.

Got the correct one today, He was very impressed when i went in with the part number ! Would be a good idea to have a section on here with part numbers for servicable parts. Thanks Chris.

i have the same bother when ordering bits , only trouble is , when they ask for my reg nowt comes up on the computers , i think it must have summat to do wi the private plate or summat!!

 

L9 KOS, give the parts man your chassis number, when he loads it on the computer it will show the original reg number for your car
