Saying that I did think I saw this car for sale last year on ebay?

 

 

And the first thing I would do if I bought it would buy an E reg plate from DVLC and put it on.

You would forever get numptys saying "its not real" and is it "stolen."

 

According to DVLA it doesn`t exist....

saw it in the dealers (where it is now) about 3 years ago, i was going to bid the dude a few grand for it, didn't look that tidy, drivers seat was fooked, half the loom was hanging out aswell, story is the police had 3 of them built & this is the only 1 left, someone else told me it was built from parts & dosn't have a floor number?
the dude eho was selling Y2K RS couldn't get 13k for it & it was 100 times the car this is!

 

just doesnt look right on a J plate

i seen an IMP Blue cos other week on a R reg which IMO did not look right
been told that will have been built form parts

 

My DVLC reg transfer would be the only thing to do if bought.

May be so but if it's build up and registerd as a "sierra 3dr cosworth" on the book but won't have a ford chassis Number

it will have a DVLA chassis Number thats how you would tell

there are loads of cossy's that were built up from spare parts and registerd as cossie and none of them will have a ford chassis number

some are obvisouly bought and not registerd untill later on

I saw it at that dealers aswell. Went there to look at a "MINT" S1 - which turned out to be a complete rotbox, full of holes, didn't run properly and smoked more than me

I had a look round the 3dr - didn't look tidy as you say, bits of rust here n there, couple dings, duff paint in places, look all over the place as you say... Oh and the lack of vin tag was also a tad worrying
