Good game for the neutrals, think West Ham just shaded it before the penalties, but they didnt have Steven Gerrard did they, two great goals the second of which deserved to win any game. Best Final for over 50 years, YEP ! thats how many ive watched. Im sure Redkop was sweating a bit when the post was hit by West Ham .

The difference was Gerrard, he is a top class player and without him Liverpool are very poor. I think Gerrard may look to move to a bigger club if he has a good World Cup and this time Liverpool fans should give the lad theyre blessing as he deserves it.

I mean a bigger football club, ie Barcelona, Real Madrid etc.. If gerrard asked liverpool for Ł130,000 a week I bet they would pay it to keep him, Barcelona dont pay massive wages. There was a documentary on BBC a couple years ago about how Laporta has restructured the club and each player earns the same basic wage. He had a diagram showing what hue meant, it was something like this iirc..

basic wage = XYZ + Goal Bonus + League Position Bonus etc..

Stevie "WANTS" to win with Liverpool, thats the difference, he had the chance to go with the money, he chose to Stay!!

Do you honestly believe he would have played like that for any other team?

Rafa will buy a class striker this summer, Robbie will be back to full fitness, and Stevie is banging in 20+ goals. Why the fuk would anyone want to leave?

COME ON YOU REDS!!!

To test themselves against the best players in the world and to play with the best players in the world. I never said he would go for money, infact I even said Barcelona dont pay big wages. Im sorry but a Midfield of Messi, Deco,Ronaldinho Gerrard and is far supperior to anything in the premiership.

Agreed mate, but I still feel Stevie has a passion for his club, I still maintain that he would never have played the way he did today for any other club, Barca, Real, Milan whoever.

He's a True RED and wants success at Liverpool, he wants to bring back the glory days... And from what I saw today, it takes somthing special for a TEAM to comeback like that, Stevie was the man, but the team had the belife and passion.

Well done too the Hammers, always had a softspot for em, and as much as it sounds a cliche, both teams where winners today!!

Trust me,around the world there are very very few clubs bigger and more succesful than Liverpool!!!!!! richer clubs aren't bigger clubs

Stevie G will not be leaving for a long long time...if at all

lets hope Sven plays him further forward than usual

Im a HAMMER and cant much post because im still seething!!!!!

I really want to say that we were robbed and in a way we were because we done liverpool everywhere and the deciding factor was Gerrard and the fact that liverpool have more money to spend on keepers than west ham

But none the less it was an amazing final and apart from yesterday our season has been nothing short of brilliant and Alan pardew is the bollox.

We have so much to be proud of but i just cant see passed that wide left foot stike of Harewood i want to hate him and liverpool but you just cant because hes the daddy and they won without cheating, well almost apart from a dodgy free kick

A good game and a crushing result roll on next season Chelsea west ham final next year and we'll do em 3-0

Im off to carry on crying

West Ham were brilliant, but the goals you scored were absolute gifts!!! i can honestly say they were the 3 softest goals we have conceded all season

You have a lot to be proud of,but i beleive our class got us through the game...after such a long testing season the lads still never gave up,when many teams would have just died the moment Konchesky's cross went in

cruel on West Ham i know, but Liverpool were well below par today, and still managed to win

great game though

Im talking bollocks because I said Liverpool are very poor without Steven Gerrard The man won the FA Cup final for you, drove you on in the Champions League final and without him Liverpool look lost. He has scored 20+ goals this season, thats more than Cisse and crouch who are strikers and probably more than them put together.

A top class player that deserves in my opinion to play in the best league in the world with the most technical gifted players, which is not the English premiership. When he wanted to leave last time and all the death threats etc.. came in from the fans, was that not shocking?

Steven Gerrard is a far superior player compared to lampard in my opinion.

that is absolutly 100% true but the none liverpool fans will not agree as they cant handle the true, we preety much gave them three goal (remember we had gone almost a club record without conceding) our goal were proper made to work goals, also another thing to remember Crouch's goal was ONSIDE therefore we would have won on normal time so who deserved it again!???

rumour has it we are looking at darren bent and shaun wright phillips both players i like and think are good buys, i do like rafa's thinking!!!!

tonyk, you're talking bollox mate!

Liverpool isn't a one - man team, although Gerrard is an integral and very important part of our team, he's not our be all end all, in fact Liverpool had a better record of win's without him in the team last season. We have one of the worlds best midfield's, Alonso, Sissoko and Hamann are very much good cover for Stevie and they've proved that.

And about our Champions League final win last year, it was Hamann who changed that game for us, he allowed Stevie more freedom to do what he wanted...but people only see Stevie doing his part as usual. Players like Hamann and Sissoko don't get any recognition because they do all the dirty work and are happy letting the 'bigger players' take the limelight.

Just to add, Stevie will be going nowhere for a few years yet, he loves the club and knows there is no one bigger than us.

As for yesterdays game, well done to West Ham, they were the better team on the day, although it was a close game, they shaded it in most areas. But at the end of the day our quality showed and took the game to the point where Liverpool had the better chance to win.

Was a good game, LMAO at Carraghar's own goal tho

Texted my m8 who's a liverpool fan saying "good goal m8"

Shame West Ham didn't do it on the penalties. Lucky Gerrard pulled out another rifler to save them tho

100% Agree with above Tony pal your tailking shite ive just got back from cardiff and it was a great final yet again to be at the emotions i went throgh yesterday were unreal the memorys and experiances ive had following the mighty reds is mind blowing To even suggest there a one man team is a joke maybe times last year he single handedly got us results but not this year. Hes the dinamo of the team Personally i think hes the best midfielder in the world and the second best footballer in the world second to only Ronaldinho And liverpool have unrivaled support worldwide with the likes of Madrid and Barca But neither of these two are BIGGER CLUBS liverpool are one of the biggest and most succesfull clubs in the world FACT Thats why theyre in the G14 Stevie Gs a scouser and boyhood Red Hes living his and millions of other peoples dream by captaining his hometown club. Liverpool are on the up Its gonna be a great world cup and a great season next year
