Escos prices-oooh controversial
Do you think Escos prices will stay strong?
I ask as if I ever do sell mine-which I thought I never would
-I want top money, is it better to keep the miles off and wait a few years when there will be less around,or will the prices start dipping.
My thoughts are they will stay roughly the same but really good examples will
increase in value.
Your opinions please

cannot see them going up anymore, may stay the same.
thats for the really good cars.
all depends who wants to buy it as you could advertise it for xxx and have no takers for it,unless someone really into then wants a good one.

I think its very difficult to predict really. Cant really see the nice ones going down in value though. Its all down to demand and supply. As the numbers available decrease, as they are, then the prices should really stay pretty constant, at least. And i would say demand is always going to stay pretty high. I mean, everyone into cars have always wanted an escort cosworth, havn't they???
At the end of the day though, we're all just guessing I suppose.

Think the really good examples, low mileage, low owners, will only increase in price. They are getting harder to find in that condition and some of them are top money now, think what they will be like in a few years!!!
I seem to remember yours being abround the 30k mark, keep it in the thirties

I just love driving mine went past the 100k mark a few weeks ago. its only had a few owners, and is still better than some with half that mileage. New A1 rally sport engine at 96K so engine wise its new. just bought a mint cloth interior. so inside its like new, service history and tlc mean more to me than a figure on the speedo head.

My old FMC Cossie had done over 100k and only 2 previous owners, the garaged i p/x it too said it drove like a 50k car.. Lad who bought it and has just rebuilt it, Still going strong and looking good as ever
top fords allways get good money eventually, have owned rs's that i
wish i could buy back for what i sold them for.
i saw escort cosworths new back in 92 for 17 grand, and a proper low mileage minter will be somewhere near that

food for thought!! try buying a mk1 rs 2000!!or an rs 1800 or even any 2 door rs from the past you will pay a fortune if you can find one!! im 50years old now and been involved with the ''sporting fords'' for years and to look back and see the costs new for say an rs2000 mk2 droopsnoot and the asking price now for any condition !!! if you can find one-

Hi All...
These post drive me mad...
If you are worried about second hand values sell it now and be done with it....if not enjoy the car..
I was going to say if you are worried about the resale value of a 15-20k car then u should not own one BUT that would not have come accross properly
Cheers Malc

So please don't take it the wrong way
The M3 csl is a lovey car but it's not a Cosworth
