ptfe tape + petrol??

Default ptfe tape + petrol??

is ptfe tape petrol resistant? got a problem on my pressure reg, its got a take off for a gauge but the blanking bolt that comes with it wont seal. its only brass into ally and i dont want to over tighten it!

Any suggestions folks?

soak the tape in some petrol,and see what happens

tried that. no shoulder on the plug for the fibre washer to seal to.

i used it on my fuel pressure guage and it worked fine.

How about one of these, if they do them small enough ?



It's called a sealing washer, or dowty washer Got them from a company called Pirtek, I think they've got branches nationwide.
