how the fook do the belts come off?

ive slackened off the bolt and it says to 'move' the modulator. WTF? its not moving at all and the belts are not 'slipping' off anything.

 

take the covers off, undo the 13mm that allows the top pully to move in then pop it off the pulley, the big end goes round the shaft, you have to remove a built up shaft from the box or hub or the shaft from the cv to get em off, or cut em if u dont need em

 

i need them so i can't cut them, i would have done that already otherwise lol

the cover is off and i have slackened off the 16mm(?) nut which pertrudes about an inch outwards next to the pulley.

il see if i can get pics, may help explain it a bit...

 

green arrow shows the bolt slackened off.

nothing is moving, there is a bolt hidden behind the oil filter (just shown in the picture) do i need to undo this also?

 

that aint the bolt u need to slacken off u need to take the 13mm one complteley out then it will twist enough to get the belt off

u can get to it form over the top of the gearbox intead of underneath!!!

now it will fail the mot

 

its run out of MOT about a month ago anyway lol

the ABS is gonna go back on as it came off, until i can afford to sort the brakes properley.

Just remove that ABS its fucking shite anyway You ask anyone on here who has removed ABS and i bet you not one person says they regret it
