Hi all, well, I've only done about 100 metres in this car since I've brought it as I trailered it home. I built it to enter modified Production saloon class for sprinting but having a 6 month old baby boy just doesn't give me the time to use it, so, it's for sale.
The car is road legal.This car wasn't built to be something it's not, if you want a rally car, go and buy one.This is a fun car that should do exactly what it says on the tin! I love mk2 XR2's, I think they are a fun car as standard, so I've just uprated what parts needed doing to make a nice reliable toy.It has 10 months MOT but no tax, I have a car trailer so I can deliver it to you if need be.The car has been kept in my garage and is an all round genuine car with loads of service history and reciepts etc. It is currently SORN.The shell has never been welded and is v solid, the inner wings are v good with no rot at all, There is a bit of rust where the wing meets the slam panel, it hasn't rusted through and passed the MOT with it, I've enclosed a pic of it.All the floors are unwelded and solid too.I am also selling a wide range of tarmac slicks on pepperpot tyres , these range from road legal A009R Yokohamas to awesome Dunlop X12's, a very sticky tyre.

Engine

Standard 1.6 cvh with 104 000 miles on the clock
Uprated head and cam,
4 branch manifold,
Full Stainless steel Magnex exhaust,
K&N Filter,
Vibra technics engine mounts
Relocated battery into the boot.

Suspension and brakes

AVO adjustable shocks and springs, drilled and grooved discs with EBC pads(I think there EBC?)

Wheels

5x Black pepperpots (I rallied an XR2 for a year, and 13's are deffo the wat forward!)
10x Pepperpots with various types of tarmac rally slicks also available at extra cost

Body

Raised black bonnet,(can be converted to go back to normal position) drilled out front bumper, A clean car for it's age, it aint concourse and has a few parking dings here and there but it looks very straight and nice.Slighly tinted windows and stripped out interior with 4 point harnesses on standard V clean XR2 seats.I still have the carpet and rear seats if you want to convert it back to a road car.Sunroof blanking panel made from an XR2 roofskin still to be fitted so if you don't fancy rivetting it to the roof you don't have to!(The old performance Ford mag RWD XR2 shell to be precise)

3 phone calls in an hour!
The slicks I have are proper Dunlop Rally slicks (£120 each new!) with loads of tread and can be re cut, there's 6 of em on pepperpots, another 2 Yokohama Advan 009R's on pepperpots and 2 Maxisports on pepperpots and some road wheels and tyres too.£350 for the lot.

 

Due to the interest and offers I've had so far, for me to end the ebay auction I'm afraid I'm looking at around the £1000 mark. 10 calls/texts in 3 hours!

Well, the guy of ebay never coleected it, thankgod as it's worth alot more than £650! Solid inner wings and floors never been welded.
Gotta be worth £1200 with all the slicks aswell?

more pics, it is a really good rot free shell as you can see.The only bit of rust is on the pic of the front wing)shown.Battery tray is being chopped out anyway now so that rust doesn't matter, it's solid underneath it and has all original unwelded floors.

 

£1000 with a set of v good road tyres and a free set of pepperpots with slicks.
