Today I tried to install my new boost hoses from SFS. Unfortunately the hose from the turbo to the intercooler is to long so it's sitting at a wrong angle restricting the airflow.
The hose from the metering unit to the turbo is also to long compared to the standard hose.
Anyone else encountered this problem? Think I will have to cut them down to the correct size. What's the best way to do this? Should I use a knive or a saw? How do I get a nice and straight cut

All i did was tighten a hose clip round it then cut round the clip with a sharp stanley blabe, this will give a straight edge.

Good to hear I'm not the only with this problem. Will cut them down when I find the time. First the car has to get a new TÜV (german mot) after it stood unregistered for 18 months in my garage

The turbo to metering unit hose is specifically designed to only fit one way round...the inlet to the turbo is pointing 'UP' slightly!
Amazing the number of RST's you see with the hose fitted the wrong way around causing a kink in the middle and thus restricting air flow!
