Default anyone know wot this is?

rite i explain, i got a spare bottom end wid my series2 wen i bought it, i jus wondered if any cud tell me wot crank and rods i got it in

casting numbers are= crank= DA50828 and other number 865MBA
con rods = HCS8CB

They're all the same, same crank and rods as the 1.6 EFI Turbo & N/A, 1.6 MFI Turbo & N/A and 1.6 Carb

1 prob was told buy block wen he delievered car he had through da block in wid it n it was american tall block. y i wana know if neway i can tell wot they r by casting numbers tryin 2 investigate it

sorry mate i type it again, when i bought the car didn't know was getting spare block, we he turned up and delievered the car he said there was a spare block in the boot and it was a 1.9 american tall block, know i am not 100% sure it is, which is why i have got the casting numbers of the rods and crank.

Ah right i see (still a little bit crept in towards the end )

Just realised u didnt actually state an engine size in that first post, i thought i saw 1.6 lol

I know nothing about the tall blocks, but im sure it is supposed to have a longer stroke, so hence a different crank.

This is a crank i removed a couple of weeks ago from a 1.6 EFI N/A



Same numbers you will see.........i doubt the rods have any difference, length though if anything.

cheers defently looks the same as the 1 in this block i got i suppose only other way to find out is to measure the stroke and the bore and calculate the capacity.

maybe wrong but sure the american tall block is webbed so if not webbed not american tall block

cheers jan, i gonna work out capacity 2mora nite n then i know for def tho, but looks like 1.8 stuff n looks bigger than 1.6cvh on closer inspection 2day
