ive seen pics of these fitted to s2 in the resto area but i cant find the thread again,any1 know how to do it? whats involved?

 

Its not the easiest mod in the world, the motor will go straight on, you have to make 2 holes to mount it, thats the easy bit. BUT whatever the motors come out of obviously have a very deep roof, cos they sit below the headlining level on a escort, so you have to make some sort of cowling up, ive never seen one finished but i should imagine the cowling looks a bit wrong and ugly

 

i saw an rs in 95 with a leccy roof, and it was a genuine ford fitting one......

 

When you say a genuine ford fitting one??

The motors everyone use are Ford, off another vehicle, im 99.9% sure Ford never fitted an electric sunroof from the factory, as its not a straight bolt on jobby.....but i apologise now if im wrong

 

i think its the granada 2.9 Ghia which people use the electric motor from

yeah ive heard that u use a granda electric sunroof motor!

 

yeah you use a granada motor with an escort cos cowling, but you will have to get your sun visors modded as they need the corner taking out where the cowling is!

 

or make yor own cowling with fg ? !!
