Right forgot I was supposed to be going on a stag do to Hamburg tonight

Is there anything there worth doing? Or it is all much for much there.

Also I need Travel insurance for the weekend any recommendations online?

Just need the basics, Leprosy, alien abductions, Pink eye etc etc

hamburg is a fantastic city.

obviously you've got the red light district that is well worth a trawl for the experience. even if you're walking down the street with your girlfriend, the hoe's will tug at your sleeve and ask you to go with them. very hard to say no to some of them. with a couple of mates we were just browsing and not wanting any business, but they always had a response as to why you should. i even said to one "no thanks, we're gay" to try and get her off my back, but she came back with "that's ok, i'll strap one on"

watch out for high charges in sex clubs. the shops are always good for a laugh though.

the area around the reeperbahn has a good selection of bars and clubs though.

it's run by blind people and is designed to give people with vision an idea of what it's like to be blind. was a superb experience. maybe not everyone's cup of tea on a stag do, and it's usually booked up but there may be some places available. it's in the warehouse area.

there is an old russian submarine that you can go on that's quite interesting.

a boat trip is good too, especially when they come up underneath some of the behemoths in the docks.

you don't need travel insurance as such, just a European Health Insurance Card (replaces old E111 form) that entitles you to treatment in any EU state. travel insurance is better for repatriation and stuff though, but that shouldn't really be an issue unless you're planning on doing some really lairy stuff.

The Russian sub ( http://www.u-434.de/eng/ ) is cool but don't go in if you suffer from claustrophobia!
