ASBO! Just my luck today

Was only stopped on the side of the road!!!

Ok it was down the mad mile but wtf! Luckily the coppers was actually nice Never new they made them like that As I had no number plate on the front and they said as they was feeling nice they would pretend that had not seen that as they could do me for it

Apparently if 2 or more cars stop now down the Mad mile (a127) anywhere or the surrounding roads off it they have to issue them with a setion 59! Which means if i go back again withing 24 hours they will take my car and crush it And he said you wouldn't want a nice shiney car like your crushed would you..... I said you can try and take it and crush it but your be taking me with it

What stupid laws!

if you get caught there again say next week and they issue one to you. will they take your car and crush it still or not?

 

No only if you are seen stopped any where within that area withing the next 24 hours! But your details go on computer so they will no if you go back the next week and stop again dunno what the punishment would be tho

Be careful now - if you cannot provide at least one of your insurance or driving licence they can also take your car off you at the side of the road and impound it. My bro in law is a copper and he said it's to cause racers as much grief as possible.

 

Well they can see all the docs they want as im not dodgy! Plus im not planning on going back....As i said was only stopped meeting someone for parts........ Just happened to be along the mad mile where all the boy racers go later on a wednesday night

But as i said these cops was not out to cause greif they was pretty sorted as if they was out to be arse i would have got done for no plate

 

TBH as long as you don't start giving them attitude or lip most are usually OK in my experience. The younger ones are usually the arseholes, the older guys don't want the paperwork so provided you don't gob off and really aren't driving like a prat they're cool.

Saying that, I did get tugged on the A40 years back in my S1 doing 60 in a 50 by a copper on a bike and the ONLY thing he checked was my brake fluid......... No, I don't know why either ! No PNC check, no producer, nuttin'................

I think its because there is posters up every where saying that this area is covered by the bla bla act of whatever and apparently if 2 or more cars are seen to be stopped in this area you get a ASBO no matter what! Stupid really I never noticed these signs taped to every lamp post till the copper pointed them out! Gone are the good old days of the Mad mile obviously lol

thats a bit shite. Shame as that road is quite nice for a bit of a thrash. Although there are a lot of accidents/deaths.

Yeh seems the days of the mad mile are gone Or at least stopping down there. Apperently the order covers the 127 all the way into sutton and all the way in the other direction up to the roundabout also all the side roads of it that have the signs strapped to the lamp posts! As i found out

My belief is that a section 59 order lasts for 12 months, so not sure whats going on with the 24 hour thing?

Thats fucking stupid?? Since when has stopping at the side of the road by 2 cars been illegal???? If you had 150db of music pumping or you were revving your engine then fine as that can be construed as anti social.

That is rediculous as you could be following your mate when he pulls over to answer his phone or ask for directions and you could get an ASBO?????

Thats got to be worth a formal complaint to the plod.
