Default Anybody got pics of FRST with chargecooler???

Just managed to get myself one and have a nice box of bits but not much of a clue where all the parts go

I know a big intercooler would be better but this came up for the sort of cash second hand Pace interwarmers come up for so felt obliged to have it.

Will dig some pics out later for you if you like..
What you stuck with?

The large tank sits where the old intercooler sat with the bracket bolting onto the underside of the battery tray.

The pre-rad bolts onto the bar that hold the bonnet catch to the shell and bolts onto the right hand side of bay

Hope that helps

My FRST has a T3 and the previous owner has cut the bracket off the large tank. Sure I could work it out but if I can see how it's sposed to go it's always a bonus

The tank will sit properly if you attach the hoses.. If you got the bottom hose then fiddle abbout with it and it will fit.

The bottom hose will be best with an ERST bottom intercooler hose and sit properly. This should hold the tank securly.

Why buy it then ? I've run a chargecooler for 8 years on my S1 and really rate them. Not a pop at you fella (promise ) but pee's me off a bit the slagging they get !

Each to their own fella - but I'd take a chargecooler every time unless I wanted to go the RS500 intercooler route.

Well I'm confident enough in the item mate or else I wouldn't have brought it. I'm not really one for buying stuff that isn't needed or doesn't work. I'm looking forward to seeing how it all works out

Speak to Ahmed Bayjoo about chargecoolers on FRST!

They work well all the time you're moving, but suffer badly from heatsoak when sitting in traffic!

Only picture I have of my old chargecooler on the Fiesta - sorry it's probably of no use!

Thankfully, when it came time to map the car I sold the chargecooler on eBay for Ł400 having only paid Ł250 for it
