thanks guys
its just going to be a weekend fun car, would love a r34 gtr but just well out of my budget and i prefer the look of the 34 to the 33 and 32. The powers about the same on gtt and a cossie?
which one will be more fun?

What you wanna spend? I'd be looking at an Evo rather than those two to be honest.
Or a Soft top sports car if its just weekend thing.
If you can stretch to 28-30k then an E46 M3 Convert is lovely.

na probably look anywhere between 11-15k tbh, i think thats enough to blow on a weekend car - well for me anyway. Was thinking of going along the super 7 kit car route but decided against that now. so why does everyone think evo 6 over a skyline or a cossie?
chip - not really track days but more meets and just generally enjoying the car, i would drive it everyday but, a. its too expensive b. just gets ruined (happened to my saph) c. wanna keep the mileage down

Personally i would sooner have the skyline, as i enjoy modifying engines and ford 4wd gearboxes are fragile, but that reason may not apply to you!

R33 GTR.... Great value now. R34's are double the price and NO where near twice as good!
They have potential to cost big money though.
So would think hard about EVO

15 grand will get you a seriously good condition Evo/Supra/R33GTR/NSX/RX7/STI straight from Japan.
If you want to retain your money, an Evo VI TME or UK Spec Supra in mint condition would be a good bet.
NSX would certainly be different - you hardly see them about, I've only ever seen 1 at the Nordschleife.

Exige is just not worth the extra over an Elise in my opinion and soft top is much much nicer in the summer in my opinion as well.
Ask Sean.... he would have started with an Elise rather than an Exige if he did it again

Obviously a totally different type of car from the Evo - I bought an Evo so I could use it every day. If it was purely for the weekend and shows/track then I might have gone for something else. If you buy a VI I'm certain you'll be driving it every day in no time - they are so practical and great to drive, you'll want to use it regardless of the running costs (which apart from petrol are reasonable for your average petrolhead with a set of tools)
