Brake resto

Since getting the 16i i've decided the standard brakes are too dangerous to use anymore, previous owners missus only drove it once and refused to drive it again
the only brake stuff i've done before has been disc's and pads so thought this would be an ideal time to learn a bit more and improve the brakes at the same time.
Fisrt on the list was a new master cylinder, then S2 calipers, 2wd cossie disc's (plus bracket kit) i've had a few fords mainly escorts so i know basically how all the brake system comes apart just never had chance to do it properly.
Old setup

Got the S2 calipers sand blasted and painted them up, not to everyones taste but better than shit brown rust colour
this is them with the new disc's

Couple of pics comparing the old and new

Bolted it all on today, cant get over how well everyting was going, should of known this meant summat was gonna go tits up sooner or later. Got all the bleeding gear and new fluid out, started at the drivers rear (furthest from m/c) and the bleed nipple was solid and chewed up
oh well i'll just wip the brake line off and put a new wheel cylinder on but like the bleed nipple the union was solid and wouldnt budge, so i moved back to where the line goes to flexi and took it off there. Two new lines and wheel cylinders later i was bolloxed so i came in and had my tea and cracked the beer open, till tomorrow.........
