Has anyone else chopped the middle part out of an 88 spec front bumper?

If so how do i go about filling the areas so it looks smooth around the 'horns' and the lower valance?

help me pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease!

 

Your car mate (and judging by the pics a nice looking one as well ) so don't chop the centre out the bumper..............it looks shit. Get a big intercooler or a chargecooler like Christian and Tony Turbo have done (and also left their bumpers alone) and leave it at that

 

Here is a few pics of mine mate when i cut the middle out i plastic welded
some of the centre bar in to cap the ends off so that they are nice and smooth i put some fiber glass in th back to make it nice and strong, For the lower part of the bumper put an rs style slipter which i got from RJM MOTORSPORT i got the number out the back of a fast ford mag mate

i agree with mr s1!! at the end of the day it's your car,but it spoils the appearance of it and you'll have to put your number plate on the side of the bumper and that's a bit pants

I didnt want to cut the bumper, but i have to because the intercooler im getting is 4 1/2" thick!

 

4 and a half inches thick ???!!! Why ?

The GRS intercoolers are about 2 inches thick and they run over 300 horses !!!

i think that black s2 with the rs extesion looks so gorgoeus!

 

i for one think the cut out bumper looks the bollocks plus for optimum performance you need as much cold air hitting the 'cooler...but we all know that any way but every one has diffrent tastes/requirements..

 

Im not telling wot the cooler is from! You'll have to wait till my feature (Hopefully)
