Had mechanical problems, pulled out, managed to get back on course and made it outside the top ten afaik.

Yes, he is a dominant force, but the Citroen is ultra reliable ALL of the time! but he is a good driver too.
Shame to see a Ford on a recovery truck as usual

It's because the Citroen is at the end of it's development cycle and Loeb is at the peak of his powers
The Ford is still a new car with lots of development to come. Lets not forget it already has a victory to it's name
