Default Stripping down and repairing RECARO's

Anyone on here stripped down their own recaros? My saff seats have some sponge missing on the bench part of the seat. No ripps but you can feel metal and it won't belong before it ripps. Also how do the Recaro badges come off? I would like to replace mine.

Cheers in advance.

yes i did mine. never done anything like it before but it turned out to be very easy, nothing to worry about
i did my fronts, put in new foam from capitalseating, on the net
put the bits of material in the washing machine while the seats were apart.
mint now.

Done it too, make sure you remove the metal rods from the covering material before it goes in the machine, I also broke a plastic runner thing which is attached to the seat back cover, but it still works fine.

Only thing I am not sure about, is the bum seat , taking the cover off it is a nightmare as it's glued, I took mine off, but never got round to glueing it back together, so I can't recommend what to do with that one.

PS: on the sides of the seat where the back hinges with the bottom, there are plastic covers, if you look carefully, there are holes in there (three each side I think), which are blanked by little plastic plugs.
Push the plugs out, and you should find screws or something like that behind them which will make it much easier to take the whole seat apart

Also, recaro badge is just a bit of plastic on two metal prongs that push through the foam and bend at the back.
Once you have the back of the seat fabric off, it will be crystal clear

Hi guys from Australia.

Interesting topic - does anyone know where to get the dark grey cloth for the 3 door seats??

I have gone through about 1000 swatches and cannot find anything close.

Thanks in advance.
