Default OPINIONS ON CLUTHES

Dont know wat i got but its slipping, about to buy a new one, fast road type or paddle? i got stage3, t34 blahblah! Are the paddle ones anoying? i do hav to do a bit of bumper to bumper driving but not huge amounts! i go to the pod a lot and going to try and do a few trackdays this yr so need a goodun! Cheers for any advice

I'll beat the rush and suggest an Alcon 6 paddle (as will most people on this site I suspect).
I believe you can use a standard cover, but if you are going to be abusing the clutch or possibly increasing the power a bit further in the near future then I think the full Alcon cover and drive plate is supposed to be the best bet.

I used an Alcon 6 Paddle Clutch with a standard cover on my 380bhp 3DR running 32psi and it was superb

Not that bad to drive with the standard cover aswell

I use a alcon 6 paddle clutch and ive got over 400 bhp and its spot on would never use anything else

while i was buying bits from a guy off here he mentioned he had a new clutch for sale!! i picked up a brand new ap 4paddle wiv heavy duty plate and new thrust bearing for Ł230 bargin IMO

Think that will be a bit harsh for the road

Mine has a Alcon 6 paddle plate and cover

I am using ap 4 paddle worst thing i have ever purchased

sooo harsh on or off a pig to pull of smoothly

should have gone for an alcon 6 paddle

im running a alcon 6 paddle and ap cover, only picked it up last night from having it fitted, and already got used to it, feels pretty good too

Buy just a plate? ap organic or alcon 6 paddle ?

And then sell your 4 paddle one which would be better for a rally or track car
