Poofy show cage or a real one that could save your life?

 

i am looking in to a real one (dont see the point in a show cage)

 

there have been loads of threads on this subject recently but i cant find the threads

 

Before fitting a cage check with your insurers. Since fitting up my roll cage I have a lot of problems getting cover. It got so bad I was actualy considering removing the cage. Fortunately HIC came to my rescue with a sensible quote

 

alot of trouble getting insurance!!!!!! thats ridiculous, WHAT IS THIS WORLD COMING TO, OR SHOULD I SAY THIS COUNTRY
ITS A F***ING ROLL CAGE, ITS SAFER FOR F*** SAKE

 

yeah but from the insurers point of view, if you feel that your car is safer, you might drive more dangerously. kind of see their point

 

If thats the case why not stick a very sharp 1 foot long pointed metal bar sticking out of the center of youre steering wheel???That should make people drive very carefully and safely!!Regards Micky

 

not sure your life insurance would let you drive if you did that

 

lol i will be doing that mod. And i will phone around the insurance companies 2mrw. lol

 

I think it is more to do with personal injury claims as a result of passengers being hurt/ killed by the roll cage. I hope you realise that by fitting a cage you are making your car a 2 seater if you are keeping the interior in, as it would be VERY dangerous for any passengers sitting in the rear of the car.
