Before fitting a cage check with your insurers. Since fitting up my roll cage I have a lot of problems getting cover. It got so bad I was actualy considering removing the cage. Fortunately HIC came to my rescue with a sensible quote

alot of trouble getting insurance!!!!!! thats ridiculous, WHAT IS THIS WORLD COMING TO, OR SHOULD I SAY THIS COUNTRY

If thats the case why not stick a very sharp 1 foot long pointed metal bar sticking out of the center of youre steering wheel???That should make people drive very carefully and safely!!Regards Micky

I think it is more to do with personal injury claims as a result of passengers being hurt/ killed by the roll cage. I hope you realise that by fitting a cage you are making your car a 2 seater if you are keeping the interior in, as it would be VERY dangerous for any passengers sitting in the rear of the car.
