yeah but from the insurers point of view, if you feel that your car is safer, you might drive more dangerously. kind of see their point

I think it is more to do with personal injury claims as a result of passengers being hurt/ killed by the roll cage. I hope you realise that by fitting a cage you are making your car a 2 seater if you are keeping the interior in, as it would be VERY dangerous for any passengers sitting in the rear of the car.
