S1 Home-made gauge pod
Been looking for ages with no success for a triple gauge holder that sits where the centre vents go. So.... made a wooden template of what I wanted, then made it out of 1/4" steel plate (over-kill I know), smoothed all the edges and sprayed it with chromey / aluminium effect paint I I think it's come out not half bad
(shame about my dash being a bit warped). Let me know what you think, cheers.

Looks spot on
How have you held it in ?
I had to use domed headed cap screws in my home made attempt

Been thinking of making some blanks for that area in carbon kevlar (or more in c/f) but not sure if its worth the hassle
- as you say the dash sags and makes them look a bit

I welded some brackets at 90 degrees to the plate then drilled and tapped some holes through into some retainer brackets I fabricated to stop them moving. There's no way they're coming out unless someone uses a crowbar
!
Had thought of using some dash coloured covering but the paint I got has turned out better than I thought and I really love the way its turned out. Plus I got some greens covers for the bulbs and its just looks the dogs nuts in the dark.
Cheers for all your comments

I'd do everything bar the finish req'd, i..e: holes drilled, corners radius'd, brackets to fit.
The gauges themselves on mine aren't held in with any brackets, they're just interference fit so I can just take the centre speaker cover off and push them out if needs be.
Just let me know...
