Spoiler Seal
I got a new spoiler seal for the upright a while ago but havnt fitted it yet. Anyone know if I can fit the seal without taking the whole upper spoiler off?? Is there enough movement to just undo the nut and slide the new one in place??
Thanks, Rich.
Thanks, Rich.
Thinking back to when I did mine I took the whole lot off-You MAY be able to just loosen all bolts take out the rear strut bolt and slip it in-the problem I had was lining that last bolt up it was truely a bitch and needed the others off to help persuade it.
No one else had the same issue when I posted though so you might be lucky good luck

Top mounting holes had swelled and cracked though.
Managed to get a brand new one which has now been fitted.

Got one that was advertised on rsoc website for £200.
Was bought for a rally car but never fitted and was still in grey primer.
A friend of mine, whose spoiler had done the same as yours got a new one from ford and paid about £700

mine has never been dropped shut but has still cracked at base,
it also has small lumps all way up centre support looks ill,
the swelling is due to corrosion inside where there is possibly aluminium to give strength at the mounting points.

Except for the seal cracking a bit, my spoiler is perfect. By the sound of it, it must depend on how much the boot is opened/closed, and whether it is exposed to the elements, wet weather etc.
My escos has done just over 1000 miles in nearly 6 years, so I wouldnt say its been used frequently.......
