Series 2 Temp problem (Advice/ideas pls)
I have a problem with the running temperature on my Rst, i've had the car a year and to b honest i should of sorted this first!! The car seems to gradually get hotter and hotter and would definately run straight into the top of the temp gauge and cook itsself, i do have a switch in-car to keep the fan on permanently which does help somewhat although when im on the go theres enough air flow to keep it cool without,
Its when i come to a stop and leave it runnin, slowly it will creep higher and higher which leaves it very risky when sat in traffic, i've currently taken the Thermostat out which obviously does delay the cooking but also cant be good for the car (mixture wise) so i really need to get somethin done asap, b4 the hot summer!!!!!!
The heads been port & polished i hear this does make a difference but i cant see it making it this bad???
If any of u guys could give me some ideas or have had the same prob i'd be grateful 4 sum help
cheers

Don't sound good tbh. And running no stat is not a good way of combating cooling issues. If the fan is not cooling the car down within a minute or so back down to the 1/4 mark you have a problem.
