Default Rev counter

Just finished the underside resto on my car and started it today for first time in a couple of months.

Started ok but the rev counter bounced around for a few seconds and is now stuck off the scale, even when switched off.

Anyone know why this happened?

Thanx
Chris

What you mean its gone right round all the way to the stop ??

take the clocks out (or cover at least) and spin the needle back to the stop with you finger, then see what happens

Its stuck at about 4 o'clock position.

Do u think it will just push back?

What makes it bounce around in the first place. Never done it before.

Cheers
