I reckon some decent lines, high temp brake fluid (SRF or RBF) mated to high er temperature rated pads and discs would be really good for a road car
I'm not sure about the DS2500s but I use DS3000s on my 205 and although they are a grade up from the 2500s they still work perfectly from cold

Phil they arent that bad
, my car did a little over 1000miles around the ring and the DS3000's where great
Granted there was a fair bit of dust(in clumps
) but nothing that Autoglym Clean Wheels didnt sort out.
Now back to the DS2500's a good pad but just dont have quite the same bite that the 3000's had.

Mike warned my old chap about the dust on the 3000's at the Ring but he said he didn't find it a problem.
I ran 2500's and buggered them up before they were even half warn, properly cooked and rendered useless.
I'm tempted to try the 3000's at the next track day as I have braided hoses + SRF now but think, inevitably, APs are in order!

Rick...
I ran 3000s on my 205 before the bedford track day and they are fine from cold IMO, i really thought they wouldnt work at all, but i could really tell any difference from any other normal pad!! A lot of people said the same on the 205 forums and so thats why i tried them, and they are fine as they say.
The brake dust is a complete arse though, probably be ok if you keep on top of it every day or 3 with some wheel cleaner stuff, but leave it for long and you'll need to scrub it off in my experience.....
Cracking stopping power with them fitted though so

Paul the calipers are standard, not many have a big 60mm piston to push the pad with.
Looked at 4 pots and without touching anything else i'd be 20% worse off on the cross sectional area.
On the last event we did, Tim Finch came over to have a look around the car as he was surprised we were running just outside the top 10 and couldn't believe we were only on std brakes lol.
I tried DS series pads but they didnt work too well for me - left too much copper on the surface of the disc
