Just been racing my escort cosworth round the ring on the PC

its a FREE multiplayer racing program. you can download loads of tracks (inc the nordschleiffe) and loads of cars (inc escort cossie)

plus, its multiplayer and FREE

Installed it with cars and tracks etc. It starts to load after selected my car and track then it crashes wtfs going on there?

my esccos is transparent

i cant work out how to make it look a solid colour

also there are a few mistakes in the car.ini

is its set up as 350bhp and 6 gears. ive edited it down to 225bhp and 5 gears etc.

its a NIGHTMARE playing with the keyboard tho

when i go on http://www.racer-xtreme.com/cars.php?bk=7 and click download on the cossy.
the page loads half way then stops.

anyone else had this problem

just got a BTG time of 9:48 in a standard power esccos

(the esccos download is for a 350bhp one, you have to mod it back to standard :P )

thats with a few offs

I had a go with the lambo. I like the thought gone into the game where you have to control the clutch to pull away and rev the car to make it start and if you stop without dipping clutch it stalls (hard to do with a keyboard)

but the car handles like crap. far to rigid and not very realistic at all.

There was a similar game I used to play called live for speed. At the time it lacked the choice of real cars etc.. but the cars felt far less regid than this one.

nice find though!

i love live for speed, but unfortunatly no Nordschleiffe on it

edit the car.ini file to change the characteristics

youll want to chance MAX rpm MAX torque, anc drag_co

i used 7200rpm 227 torque and 0.5 drag co

that'll pull 170 indicated on the main straight like that (rather than 200+ indicated

)
