With great difficulty mate
I've had some that pull out (with a lot of pulling) and some that just come straight out with hardly any effort and some that just wont come out no matter how hard you rive on them

Mine are like that on my escort gti, i had to get the rear head rests off so i could fold down the rear seat and it wouldnt without the headrests so it took me about 15mins trying to work out why they wouldnt pull out

On the Escort GTi aren't the rear headrests just standard ford items so should need a wee squeeze on the plastic collar thing?

Recaro seats don't have those.

Sorry that was for Imalover - the back seats aren't recaros...

On the Recaros I have had apart (one set from a Vx, and another from a three door) they both have R clips holding the headrest legs in. You need to ease the backrest pad away from the seat to get to them and, once these are unclipped, the headrest will just slide straight out.
