Hi everyone

I was just thinking maybe it would be a good idea to start a database for the RS 1800. Seeing as there were only ever 493 made! It would be good to make a list of them and the ones that are no longer gracing our roads!

Anyone?

 

www.rs1800.com is a dedicated website for the Fiesta RS1800..... but atm its down due to being hacked by some twat....

 

Surely there were more than 493?

 

493 made in the UK, just short of 5000 made in Europe although there is a story around the rs1800 there are 2 European countries have the rs1800 the rest were xr2i 130.
A lot of the later cars that came here were badged as late xr2i as the insurance policies in this country were to high for the rs1800.

Also as mentioned before if you buy a rs1800 make sure its not a badged xr2i many have been done

Ask Steve b the MOD to make it a sticky at the top of the page to save you time looking through the pages to update it

 

just thought i would add there are now 492 left this was my ex girl freinds rs 1800 she smash up some nutter in french piece of crap pullled straight out in the front her she got paid out and i broke the car up for bits it didnt look that bad but all the bulk head was buckled behind the dash its gone to the scrap yard in the sky

yes mate she was ok i had split up with her but she had no where to keep the car so i kept it at my place but i broke it up when the insurance paid out and i had a few goodies off it im going to build something in a couple years im just collecting bits as i bought a mk3 bonus about two years ago from a salvage auction it was stolen recoverd with 9000 miles on the clock the shell is like brand new there is no rot what so ever on it
