Default ****Escort RS Turbo - G reg - Very original****SOLD****

As above, selling my Escort RS turbo, 89 G reg.... i bought the car in december totally standard, even has the standard exhaust which is very rare these days! the guy i bought the car off had had it for about 6 months, before him a 60 years old couple had it for about 10 years....

it's got lots of history and all mot's from new, done 118k miles.

gearbox and clutch were replaced not long before i bought it.

tax'd for about 4 months and mot'd till september....

here is a list of all the new parts i've put on it in the last 6 months:

ngk plugs
ford leads
distributor cap
rotor arm
oil and filter
fuel filter
cam belt and tensioner
alternator belt
new diesel starter motor
battery
k'n'n replacement pannel filter
thermostat
thermostat housing
rad fan switch
temperature sender
top water hose from rad to thermostat housing
rocker cover gasket
clear indicators + side repeaters
full Pi suspensions kit 25mm lowered (only fitted this cos it had all the original suspension on it and it was a bit tired....)
ford 17" softline deep dished RS 7 spoke alloys
nomad boost guage
shot blasted boost carrying pipe

i'm sure there's more stuff but i cant think of anything else at the moment!!

engine wise it's totally standard (apart from the air filter) and runs really nicely, boosts to about 7 psi as would be expected as standard.

it's in really nice original condition, all pannels seem to be original.

a really nice looking car that drives really well, and very original....

price wise i'm looking for £3300 ono with the 17's.... would probably do a deal for a bit less with the standard wheels though....

anyone interested pm me or give me a call on 07843 258659

pics:

this is the car as i bought it....

this is it now....

Has the engine been rebuilt ? Was just looking and its had 7 owners, when you stated it was owned by a man for 6months then a 60year old couple, thought you ment you were the 3rd owner
Interested in a p/x whats the battery tray like, fuse box, cills and boot ? also when the passenger footwell is, is there a hole ?

no, didnt mean i was the third owner, just saying that i knew the details of the last 2 owners before me.... i think before that it was owned by various people in ford....

battery tray, sills, fuse box, boot and passsanger footwell are all fine.

as far as i'm aware it's not had an engine re-build, but it's running totally standard power and is very quiet and doesnt smoke atall....

px for what??

Not using it yet,the clio is proving harder to shift then i thought

Shame the escort has'nt got the 90 spec bumper and boot spolier as that would finish it off nicely.

Could have sworn you said it was'nt going up for sale until central day
