mine comes on at 25 it always flashing on tickover....think it must have the wrong one in

I think you need 26psi on hot idle, and at least 35psi @ 3000rpm when hot.

Not sure when oil light comes on but its normaly to late then anyway.

yeah, To be honest i have concerns at the mo.

the car is running on 10-40 mineral oil to run it in, (been led to believe thats the right thing to do)
and the oil pressure seems Very low when it gets hot.

see how it is with the fully syn mate..

i have seen my idle go to 19 psi after a good hard run...

normally its about 30..


i get about 50 psi at 3k

well the engine has just been re-built, so i really hope that dont happen mate.


dunno, might do another 50 miles with this mineral oil shite in it
then go back to the stuff i was using before the re-build.

once run use decent oil like silkolene pro s 10w/50 and should be fine when warm

its done 50 miles on first lot of mineral oil

im gonna do 100 on this lot then put proper stuff in,

if it aint right then,.. well then ive totally lost interest in it

Just had a PM from oil-man..
he seems to think that the oil is thinning so thats worrying!

and to use a mineral based semi-synthetic oil when running in


think i'll just wack in what Ford put in at the factory and go from there
