Default Oil Light Flickering!!

Took my cossie 4x4 out a week or so ago whilst I was in traffic (moving) the oil light on the dash started flickering, then went off, so I thought nothing of it then carried on driving got out of the traffic then started flickering again as I pulled up on the drive then stopped flickering
Any ideas? is this the begining of the end of Cosworth ownership

Was the level low ? Mine did it once years ago, when i checked the level it was low, it does say check weekly, and expect to lose a litre every 600miles, that was when they were new too.

Never take any risk, it's worth too much
Allways check weekly, maybe takes one minute or so
