Looks very nice. Id say its well worth Ł4000. Maybe a tiny bit overdone with the red suede on the dash and pillars, but overall it looks well worth the dosh mate.
U know u want it....

Would you take Ł5k cash for your car

Would you turn up and pay Ł4k cash for his with no quibbles?

Plus it's one of those special gti st wrx cosworth zetec s ones so it's definatly worth it.

Seriously though, the car is mint. Deffo worth Ł4000 imo and the Golf is top

if the golf IS worth 5.5k i wouldnt bother.

sell the golf, then see if it is still for sale.

seems like a raw deal if he is giving you that car plus only 1k for a car thats less than 5 years old, bigger, more reliable and refined.

if the only question was is this worth 4k?

then yes, as long as it is an original RS and has NO rust. in 28k rust can set in quite easily, check the restoration as unfortunately, welding accelerates the growth of rust

You need to remove your postcode from that Trader ad.

your car is worth more than 1k plus the fezze matey. I would agree that the RS is worth 4k if there is no rust, but if i were you i would stick with the golf if you want an everyday car.

Assuming your golf's on decent mileage, it's worth about 6 grand to sell, perhaps another Ł500. (Glass's Guide/CAPS) I don't know the car admittedly, but it doesn't look like a great deal from your side mate...

If you're really set on the car, I guess it's not bad. Your Golf will fetch 5k all day long. I'd try him at 12/1500 quid.

As a guide, there's a 60,000 mile standard one in the trader for Ł3,800, and one with mileage not mentioned for Ł2,995. Your golf ranges from Ł4500 to Ł6000.

All those are local to me though, you could do with checking your local trader, seeing if you can match it.
