Alrite peeps got a letter today from a mechanic that did some work on one of my cars and a couple of invoices . i have never seen or heard enything from him now in about 5 years so was just wondering why wait till now to send me these bills will i have to pay him or is there a cut off point after so many years cheers for help guys ..

 

he's trying to bill you FIVE YEARS later?

 

file them in the bucket and tell him to fcuk off if he phones,5 years is taking the piss.

 

Yeah he sent me some invoices from 2001 fair enough he did the work but he never gave me a bill so ive been waiting ever since i think it could be something to do with accountants

 

I would say its kind of up to you, if he did the work then ultimately he deserves paying for it IMHO.

But on the other hand, FIVE YEARS

 

Tell him you paid him. It was ages ago, he won't remember !

There is NO F*CKING WAY would I pay a 5-year-old bill.

He would have known when he was sending it that you would most probably tell him to piss off, but thought it was worth a try. So, do the right thing and tell him to piss off.

Send them back with a letter saying the person (you) moved out 4 years ago................................Abroad!!

 

Cut off is up to 1 year after tbh its up to your own sefl conscience, ie did he do a good job reasonable value etc etc ...
