i have the parts to start building my engine soon as i picked up steel rods and forge pistons for silly money, but first i need it balanced bores checked, crank ground etc,and i big valve head made, but i would like to run abit of power which managent would you reccommendforaround 250-300bhp il more than likely use some sort of cossie injectors
As Ahmed said to me the other day...it's a very good system for the price but 'not a patch on a Pectel'.
If it were up to me I'd only ever buy a Pectel as I'd only ever want Ahmed mapping my car.
Good luck
Dave

There's been loads of posts about different managements.
Best thing is to decide what you want from it and what your budget is --- simple engine management right up to full car management inc traction control etc etc.
When i changed mine, the two at the top of the list were:
DTA P8pro for all the features
Emerald for its cost and simple mapping software.

The thing that you need to remember with management is that many of the aftermarket systems were designed with competition cars in mind, so lack the functions needed to make the car run nicely.
Also, the cheaper package fit-and-map prices, probably won't include detailed setting up and ancillary functions.
If it's a road car, then decent cold-start, warm-up and idle functionality is important, along with the ability to compensate for Air/Coolant temp etc.
The Omex system on my RST will very soon be running closed-loop too, which will be VERY nice as this should hopefully give me a little economy back, but this of course, costs.

i want something that will allow big boost and a general all round decent management setup? how much dothe pectal go for and what models are recommended?
Mate, it depends on what your tuner recommends as to what you should go for. Personally I would call up Ahmed direct or go to someone who will do the whole lot for you like Karl. You don't really need aftermarket management for 300hp, just a deep pocket.
