The thing that you need to remember with management is that many of the aftermarket systems were designed with competition cars in mind, so lack the functions needed to make the car run nicely.
Also, the cheaper package fit-and-map prices, probably won't include detailed setting up and ancillary functions.
If it's a road car, then decent cold-start, warm-up and idle functionality is important, along with the ability to compensate for Air/Coolant temp etc.
The Omex system on my RST will very soon be running closed-loop too, which will be VERY nice as this should hopefully give me a little economy back, but this of course, costs.
