i do not give my 4x4 a easy time .. it has done one box so far ..the original one and that was at 103500 miles as for safe .. im at stage 3 now and the rear still kicks out nicely

Any Cosworth is as reliable as amount of care and preventative maintenance you give it. Don't look after it, then it lets you down, pamper it and no problems.

For most day to day driving conditions a 4x4 will outperform a 2wd, especially launches, just depends on what you want from the car.

I paid 5300 for my 4x4 just over a year ago (thanks Racey!)

and its been great so far! nothing has broken to take it off the road
(now its having an engine re-build,, but looking at it, everything inside was fine )
just check EVERYthing like you would if you were buying any
old car of this type mate...

check shes straight and not hiding anything!

i'd personally go for 4x4.... but then i dont like my chances with a RWD car! i think it would catch me out!

2wd all the way. if you are only modding to 320 bhp you dont want to lose 50-60 bhp (or what ever it is) in 4x4 transmission do you?

makes perfect sence.

is the 2wd very skitterish, ie kick out unwantingly , ill probably sell the s2 and save up and just start looking at cars around the £4.5k mark, if i dont see any i like ill hold off save some more and pay a bit more

as some well respected people have mentioned on here before;

the 4wd will out perform the 2wd in 90% od driving situations

330 in a 4by *might* feel a bit slow if ur s2 was quick. Go for 400
