Hi, im told that with hydraulic lifters the engine will rattle for a little while until the hydraulic buckets pump up the first time the engine is started. How long do i have to run the engine for until it goes away?

I have heard it takes up to 5 minutes or so. I can't remember how long my Cossies lifters rattled at the first start after rebuild, but I think it was closer to 1-2 minutes than 5 minutes.

 

Thanks, i guess ill have to put up with the noise for a few minutes more then !
