A doctor gives you three pills telling you to take one every half hour. How many minutes would the pills last ?
60 - start with the first pill, 30 minutes later take the second, then 30 minutes for the 3rd

I cant get my head round that one if you took the first pill on 0 minutes, its effective until 30 minutes, you take the second pill on 30 minutes and thats effective until 60 minutes, on 60 minutes you take the third pill and thats effective up until 90 minutes or why would the doctor tell you to take them every half hour ? 
its late and im confused

When they say last they mean how long it takes until you eaten them all.

Add a 4th pill to the equation and you could only take that 4th pill on 90 minutes, why ?, because thats how long 3 last
