Default Fitting harnesses in car, need help

Right i am in the process of stripping the old e30 bemmer and fitting harnesses as it is intended for the track.

I have bolted the right hand strap to the lower seat belt bolt hole, the over sholder straps have been bolted into the rear seat belt bolt hole but i am having problems locating the left hand strap.

Now it looks like it will have to be bolted somewhere on the trans tunnel, thing is once i have drilled the hole for the bolt im pretty sure i dont just bole it sraight to the car without some sort of strenthening around the bolt hole.

Is there any pre made or advised plates that can be welded in to strenthen the area, or any other advice is well appreciated....

Joe

Where did the buckles bolt on your normal seatbelts? there must be holes for those in the middle of the car?

89xr2, the seat belts had the clasp on the seat base, so no holes in the car.

Thanks nuts/micky just what i was looking for....
