Did the vent turn-up ok?

 

yes twat thats the one , the bonet vent arived thismorning mate thanx do you know out about it though as it looks a proper thing and not just a wrecked track day car

 

Don't know anything about it except that engine needs binning

 

its been well abused mate but the texaco martin jonston had was blue and yellow when he got it so its worth checking these things out

i may have bought the odd car in need of tlc,

but even i can spot a real touring car, and this e/bay one is not evan close,

£500 is about right for a shell,




this one had a lot going for it, and had full chassie number.














turned out ok, had to buy this one from pictures not run for several years,
when its in japan in a private collection at mount fuji it can not be compered to an old shell on e/bay.

jacko that 3dr was on ebay about a year ago.

was gonna buy it, but thought against it.

 

i know mate i saw it then to but looking at it body wise its the same as martins same kage same wing mod for the cutoffs and its got proper suspension so it might have been a proper thing and its worth trying to find out a bit more

As for him bidding on it, it is a rare 'sleeper race car' and he came on here and told everyone its crap so he could get it for cheap.

no this is nothing specail,

i have put a bid on it for the shell only,

all over parts will be binned,

i have gathered a huge amount of spares including engine/gearbox/wheels/hubs/ect ect

so looking for a suitable shell to build up to race next year.

 

read my post again i did not slate it, its a shell worth between £500 to 1k

hardly rates it as a touring car sleeper does it.

i think you will find you thought it was just like mine ect ect,

dont want anyone buying thinking there getting anything specail,

the only thing of interest is the shell to put proper parts on,

steve did a small amount of work on it and then i sold it on,

it was not to my needs after close inspection,

still you buy on e/bay unseen some you like some you dont.

with so many spares in my garage its just crying out for me to build something.

 

the thing is i didnt think it was anything like yours the shell could be but you dont have to own an ex touring car to tell its not exactly the same thing is i know the car has been converted to right hand drive and its no 55 and the first 100 shells went to touring cars and it has the air jack mounts so its not your average shell is it or you wouldnt want it

 

its a good base to build a race car as it looks solid enough from the pictures,

the engine and all running gear would be binned, as well as the dash,

if this ones gos for two much i may consider the new shell on offer.
