anybody been to Tampa, Florida? Views?
looks like we might be getting a villa either here or more towards the southern part of florida...
BUT....
is it any good?
looked on a few sites but it looks a shite hole
really want to go back to vegas but the others arn't having it...
mainly looking for a few different things to do during the day but mainly pool and shopping, bars and clubs at night.
will NOT be going to any theme parks

I went to Florida when i was younger stayed in Tampa Bay, i was too young to check out the night life though.
I am going back next year though, taking my son to Disneyworld, staying a week near Disney and the second week on Anna Maria Island just above the florida keys, its beautiful http://www.annamariaislandchamber.org/

Went years ago, thought it was quite rough........ went to a supermarket about 10mins walk from my hotel, ended up in a dodgey area, proper boys in the hood....... May have changed now!

I have been to Florida a lot! I have covered Miami, the Keys, A bit of Tampa (best avoided!) Orlando, St Petersburg, and a lot of the bits in between.
If you are young at heart, the Disney thing is probably worth a look. Otherwise, there are quite a few good golf clubs in that area if thats your thing!
My advice is the Keys. I spend a fortnight going fishing, getting pissed, and sitting in the sun!!! Not for everybody, but I loved it!

As a PS - When I say fishing, I mean Barracuda, and Lemon/ Black tip Sharks - So no soft gay makeral shite!
