replacing 80 spec spoiler with 90 spec item... how?
How do i remove my spoiler? Is it all done via the bolts under the caps or do I need to take bits of the understand of the tailgate apart to get to the bolts as well?
Cheers!

iirc there is 4 bolts under the caps and 1 in the centre (from inside)
but....
the 90 spec spolier is bolted in different places so you will need to clean to boot off propperly (as there will be a thick black line where it sat) and then redrill to boot lid for the 90 spec to fit.
Last 1 I changed i just swapped the bootlds over complete was soooo much less hastle

I never bothered with all that. Just fit the 2 rear screws and the 10mm nut from underneath. If the spoiler isnt bent at all it wont need the front screws.
If it is though just drill 2 small holes in the tailgate, and fit a couple of self tappers. Its not load bearing so as long as it cant be nicked, i'll be ok.

I did this on my old series 2 with my leg in plaster after an operation so you should have no problems.
Take the old spoiler off ( the screws might be rusted )
Put the 90 spec one on , locate it with the 2 bottom screws
Mark where you will have to drill holes in the higher holes
Take the spoiler off
Drill the holes
Put the spoiler back on
I used self tapping screws and secure it to the body work
This all sounds easy but should the screws be rotten beyond being able to undo them which mine were.
I didn't realise that there is a metal frame in the spoiler and cut V's above the screw locations taking chunks out of the spoiler till I could drill the screws out.
It was a pain in the arse but well worth it
