I never bothered with all that. Just fit the 2 rear screws and the 10mm nut from underneath. If the spoiler isnt bent at all it wont need the front screws.

If it is though just drill 2 small holes in the tailgate, and fit a couple of self tappers. Its not load bearing so as long as it cant be nicked, i'll be ok.
