A reason to buy a diesel
Juist had a confirmation of how good my new diesel golf is.
Was trying my best to drive economicaly, and over 20 miles of country lanes, thru a town and a lil bit of dual carriage way i averaged, 74.2 mpg

Yup, i can drive home from work in the TDCI mondeo, almost totally over 100mph on the clock, and the fuel level wont move 1mm, stays above maximum, if i do the same in the 1.8 petrol mondeo it uses quarter of a fucking tank
And its a lot slower

The focus TDCI I had at the weekend only got 34MPG on the trip from birmingham to plymouth!
I'll admit I was doing 90mph most of the way and it had some heavy car parts in the boot, but I was still dissapointed.

When the time comes for me to buy a larger everyday car I'm only going to buy a diesel. I ain't running a petrol car over about 1.4.............S1 excluded but she's a toy that only comes out on sunny days.
