missing chassis no on floorpan, how legal?
im considering a s2 shell, however the floor pan has been repaired, and has no vin no. next to the drivers seat as a result...
opinions please on legality etc

as said above may have just had a replacement inner sill and floor pan!

lots of mk 4's used to rot where the rear of the front seats bolt in, a lot rot into the chassis number, if the rest of the car is kosha i wouldn't care to much.

Damn right... on my RS1600i I was gonna replace the whole floor.. never gave a thought to numbers

if the shell is restamped ie Q PLATE isnt it normally on the suspension strut on the drivers side
intresting i would like to know if any body here does

Once went to look at a shell with no numbers years ago which was described as being that way since it was bought as a bare shell from ford.
So really this would come under the same description would it not?
